Is Water Vapor A Green House Gas?

Intro:

This is an argument that we at Hydrovale receive on a regular basis. If you search for the answer to this question online you will find that all of the most reputable sources will agree that Water Vapor is a greenhouse gas and traps heat. You will also find that large amounts of both carbon dioxide and water vapor may also have a negative impact on the environment.

Our Stance:

  •  One thing the articles don’t focus on is the fact that no matter how much carbon dioxide is in the atmosphere, it will never condense into a carbon dioxide rain. CO2  needs to be metabolized through photosynthesis by green algae and plants.

  • There is a fundamental limit to how much water can be in the air before it turns into condensation and rain.  If water alone was such a horrible greenhouse gas then then life would have never formed.  Areas with high humidity are generally teaming with life both flora and fauna.

More Benefits of Hydrogen as Fuel:

  • At Industrial Scale the water vapor is collected and condensed into a freshwater reservoir that can be used for drinking & farming. More Vapor condensed to water & less CO2  in the air is good for the environment.

  • You will see that hydrogen cars also have a little compartment to drain water produced from hydrogen fuel cells and pouring it on the street does less harm than rain.

  • Tons of water vapor would not be released into the atmosphere. Have you seen Nuclear Power Plants?   Did you know that the “smoke” coming out of the “smoke stack”  is actually just water vapor?

  • Small Devices like the nova act like a small humidifier and are a great investment for dry desert climates.  Has anyone ever said we need less water in any form in the desert?

  • We have car CO2 in most rooms of every home because CO2  is heavier than air and toxic.

Conclusion:

Hydrogen is a safe and easy fuel to produce and is completely sustainable. If Oceans are going to rise we should be converting that excess water into Hydrogen Gas reserves. We aren't here to force  everyone to switch to hydrogen. We are here to offer choice. And the more hydrogen we can apply to the energy infrastructure the longer our fossil fuel reserves will last.
